Mino ware is one of Japan’s most established ceramic traditions, rooted in Gifu Prefecture and shaped by centuries of daily use and evolving techniques.

Craft

Each chopstick rest begins with carefully portioned clay.
The clay is shaped and pressed into molds to establish its form, then refined by hand to ensure balance and clarity in detail.

After natural drying, each piece is individually glazed and high-fired in a kiln.
Subtle variations in surface, tone, and texture reflect both material and process.

Why We Selected It

We selected these Mino ware chopstick rests for their balance of structure and individuality.
