Founded in 1934, Noda Horo has specialized in enamelware for decades. Each piece is carefully produced in Japan through multiple stages of forming, welding, glazing, and high-temperature firing. The glass-like enamel finish creates the clean, timeless white appearance for which Noda Horo is known.

Airtight Lid with Silicone Valve

Unlike the standard seal-lid version, this model features a specially designed airtight lid with a silicone valve and gasket.

The valve helps create a secure seal, making the container particularly useful for storing prepared foods, sauces, moist ingredients, and foods with stronger aromas. Lift the silicone valve to release the seal when opening, then press it down after closing.

The compact S size is especially convenient for small portions, side dishes, condiments, sauces, leftovers, and meal-prep ingredients.

Why Enamel?

The steel body is coated with a smooth, glass-like enamel surface. Because the surface is non-porous, it is hygienic, easy to clean, and highly resistant to food odors and stains.

Its simple white interior also makes it easy to see the color and condition of stored ingredients.

Remove the lid and the enamel body can transition from food storage to cooking and even directly to the table.

Care & Precautions

• Always remove the airtight lid before heating.
• Do not microwave.
• The enamel body may be used over direct heat or in the oven with the lid removed.
• Never heat the container while empty.
• Avoid sudden temperature changes.
• Wash with mild dish detergent and a soft sponge.
• Avoid metal scrubbers, abrasive cleaners, or scouring powders.
• Enamel has a glass-like surface and may chip or crack if dropped or subjected to strong impact.
• After washing, dry thoroughly before storing.
• Do not use for foods that may ferment or generate gas, as pressure can build inside an airtight container.
• The lid, silicone valve, and gasket should be properly cleaned and dried after use.

About Noda Horo Craftsmanship

Noda Horo enamelware is produced in Japan with careful attention to every stage of manufacturing. Skilled craftspeople form the steel body and apply the enamel glaze before each piece is fired at temperatures exceeding 800°C (1,472°F).

Because enamelware involves hand-finishing and high-temperature firing, slight variations may naturally occur. Small dark spots, subtle unevenness in the glaze, firing marks, or areas where the enamel appears slightly thinner are characteristic of the manufacturing process and are not considered defects.

These subtle differences are part of the character of authentic Japanese enamelware and make each piece slightly unique.
